It's been forever since I've watched any new anime. So why not ask everyone what their favorites are, start up a conversation and possibly watch a few later.

By all means you can chose more than one and feel free to make suggestions to others.

    Mine would have to be
    1. Ergo Proxy
    2. Neon Genesis Evagelion
    3. Darker than Black
Ergo Proxy was just so odd it kind of stayed with me for a good time (still need to re-watch it). And NGE just kind of speaks for itself.

Edit: Did I need to post this in Multimedia or is this still a good place. Sorry. >.<

    No order.

    Cowboy Bebop
    Hellsing(the first series)

I used to like anime when I was a kid, but not much any more. I've seen a lot, and I know I like more than what I listed, but those are always the ones that come quickly to mind.

I never really got into it. I liked the animation in the first series better. Second series was too glossy.

    All time:

    1. Steins;Gate (Easily the best anime I've seen)
    2. Lelouch of the Rebellion (Seriously, this anime just appeals to my brain)
    3. Trigun (It's just cool) / Death Note (Obviously great)

    Current Season:

    1. DanMachi (Is it wrong to try to pick up girls in a dungeon?)

The lines are kind of cheesy, but the plot is top notch.

    2. Shokugeki no Soma (Food Wars!)

The food tasting borders on erotic, but, again, the plot is awesome.

    3. Arslan Senki (The Legend of Arslan)

I think this anime is underrated. Although, I just enjoy medieval based narratives.

A few classic favorites not mentioned yet.

Escaflowne - An all around story driven anime with character development and absolutely zero filler episodes!
Outlaw Star - Your typical good 90's anime like Cowboy Bebop and Trigun.
Jubei Chan - It's only 12 episodes, silly and surprisingly very funny!

As for recent anime I got hooked on Attack on Titan (a thriller) and also Gurren Lagann.

I'm only mentioning a few that no one else has yet. In no particular order:

Samurai Pizza Cats: A show whose English dub is so hysterical, it's preferred world-wide to the original Japanese version. It centers on a trio of anthropomorphic robot samurai cats who work both at a pizzeria and as crime fighters.

Re: Cutie Honey: A three-episode OVA loosely based on a live action movie that was loosely based on a classic series from the 70's. It centers on the "Warrior of Love" Cutie Honey fighting to end the devious schemes of the criminal organization Panther Claw. WARNING: Fanservice, fanservice, fanservice!

Cyborg 009: A small band of cyborgs flee their "creators", The Black Ghost organization, and fight to stop said group's efforts to start the next world war. This is actually a fairly old series, and I've only ever seen the 2001 version.

    I remembered some others!

Ninja Scroll the movie and Ninja Scroll the TV Series, both awesome.
Record of Lodoss War. One of the closest things to D&D/Fantasy RPG I've seen, really good stuff.

    Rurouni Kenshin
    Wolf's Rain

Those are my top two favorites, mainly because I grew up with them and ended up re-watching them recently which remade them my favorite as opposed to some others I have watched.
