Natarim character profiles:

    Techniques must match your skills. E.g. Power over fire would not match a water summon.
    Powerful skills must come with a downside that makes logical sense. E.g. A body made from flames that is hurt by water the same way fire would burn a normal person. In a hot environment the character becomes stronger but in a cold environment their body and skill become weakened.

    Build your character based on their birthplace or choose a birthplace that fits your character. E.g. Those from Taradin cannot have power over fire but can still use fireball as a magic, those from Anarim cannot use spells but manipulate the skill element their aligned with. Those from Calrim cannot use magic weapons, but those from Natarim cannot use normal weapons.

    I will provide an example profile.

    Weapons: A staff that channels his powers.
    Skills: Magic eyes, when he sees magic being cast he is able to cast it himself. He cannot learn magic that wasn't cast or was cast outside of his vision. He is a powerful magic caster but lacks physical skills.
    Techniques:
    Ignis: Mahat casts a fireball.
    Incendia: Mahat casts flames to form a veil.
    Pierce: Mahat fires shards that can pierce any defense.
    Pulse: Navigation magic, once actiavated it gives a readout of the area to the caster allowing them to know everything around them, low magic drain.
    Swift: Movement magic, speeds up the user for a temporary timeframe, high magic drain.
    Bolt: A bolt of lightning cast at the opponent, minor seeking aspect.
    Tremble: Earth magic used to overturn the ground, can only be used while both feet are connected to the ground.
    Guard: defensive magic that creates a barrier around the user.
    Calm: Time magic, slows down time around the caster, small area affect, high magic drain.
    Other: Mahat is known in Taradin as The Coldblood for his dislike of others and cold attitude to those around him. He seeks absolute freedom and has been obtaining power to help himself to his goal. He has learned a wide variaty of magic and continues to learn magic to this day, he adds any learned magic to this Techniques. Mahat has a bounty on his head.

    The example profile is based on a story character I came up with a year ago, he was developed over time and has become a powerful character who is able to cover his weaknesses. Please make your characters at least weaker then this profile when your character first sets out, as your character progresses update their information. The example is a little rushed but it should be fairly useful.

    I suggest starting off with five techniques and one or two skills.

    Weapons: Blade of Flame
    Skills: Power over fire: Control, creation and dispersion of flames, stronger in warmer conditions and weaker in colder conditions, useless under water. Swordsmanship: Archaes is stronger when he is wielding a sword, other weapons he's not so good with.
    Techniques:
    Summon Blade of Flame: Summons the Blade of Flame, regardless of location.
    Eruption: Digging the Blade of Flame into the ground causes flames to erupt from the ground targeted at the opponent, high magic drain.
    Wave of Fire: swinging the Blade of Flame in an arc produces a ripple of flames launched in the direction the arc faces.
    Dragon Blast: A beam of fire can be shot from the tip of the blade. Controlling the beam drains magic.
    Flame Guard: Pouring magic into the blade can cause a wall of flames to rise up protecting the user, mainly used for escape. Extreme magic drain.

    Weapons: Short Sword: A basic steel short sword about two feet long.

    Hidden Spike: A two inch long spike the width of a pencil that is pulled back by a tension coil. Concealed with in the left vambrace below the wrist. A miniature pressure plate is connected under the left hand glove connects to the tension coil acting as a trigger. A small switch on the vambrace locks the pressure plate in place when not in use to avoid accidental firing. Primarily used with shadow magic against heavily armored foes in an attempt to pierce their defenses and knock them out. Must be reloaded manually by retraction before can be used again. Retraction can be done by winding a small wheel next to the lock switch. Using the same design as a catapult to pull back the tension coil once again. Can be used once in combat can not be reloaded during combat.

    Skills: Thievery: Training practiced by the user that allows the user correct knowledge of moving silently pick pocketing and lock picking.

    Support Shadow Magic: Allows the user to cast support based shadow magic.

    Techniques: Cloak Of Shadows: Casted magic allows the user to blend in to the shadows. Turning their body transparent increasing difficulty of spotting. Transparency level depends on the amount of light in the area. Can not be used during battle.

    Sleep Rune: Casted magic the user draws a rune upon the surface of a weapon. Allowing the weapon a chance to inflict a sleep effect on damage. Last 30 seconds damage must be at least broken skin light cut. Can only be used once per battle.

    Shadow Play: Constant cast magic allows the user to change the shape of a near by shadow at will. Allowing the user to create tricks such animals or beasts shaped shadows in attempts to scare off onlookers. Can not be used if caster is with in eye sight requires constant focus to keep the shape maintained. Loss of focus mana or cancellation of the spell will result in the shadow return to its original shape.

    Acrobatics: Allows increased mobility in battle granting dodge and evasion bonuses. Constant body effect can only be used wearing only light armor.

    Other: A thief for hire by trade. As long as the coin is good and the contract is accepted there is no theft framing or kill he will not do. Refuses to work for more then one contract at a time. Will take contracts from any race city or group.

    Weapons: a staff, two daggers (one that creates magical fire and is called called Igneous and one that is made up of magical ice and is called Glacious)

    Skills: Thievery: Training practiced by the user that allows the user correct knowledge of moving silently pick pocketing and lock picking.

    Light magic: allows the user to use/control the light around them and have slight control of fire and lighting magic

    Techniques: invisibility: casted magic that bends the light around the user to render them practically invisible to the naked eye by projecting what ever is behind the user for 15min. Medium magic drain once per battle

    Twin-slash attack: allows the user to attack with two daggers at once

    Igneous: a dagger that magically summons a small flame and if cuts the skin and burn the person for 40 seconds. Small magic drain

    Glacious: a dagger made up of magical unmelting and unbraiding ice that freezes a small area the blade touches for 3 min. Unless in sheath

    Witch's light: calls forth a small ball of magical floating unburning Fire that lights up a area of 10 feet for an hour. Small magic drain 3 times per battle or if out of battle when ever it is needed with a 30 minute recharge

    Acrobatics: Allows increased mobility in battle granting dodge and evasion bonuses. Constant body effect can only be used wearing only light armor

    Mana drain: casted magic that drains a little of the magic from the immediate area to give the user a small burst of extra magic. Tiny magic drain. Twice usage In a battle or when not in battle when ever needed with a 40 minute recharge

    Encasement: casted magic that seals an item so that only the user can open it (like a dagger in a sheath for example)

    Other: a wanderer that moves around searching for fun and adventure. He always wears a cloak and can usually been seen with a smile and/or absent look on his face. He is usually kind and agreeably but will set you straight if you provoke him. Also he only picks pockets from those who look like a little lost money won't hurt them so he can get to the next town or adventure
