Hey guys! I'm relatively new to the forums and looking for people with similar interests! I'm a huge fan of the heavy metal genre (Deathcore, Metalcore, some Djent), and I was wondering if anyone else is a fan? I'm always looking for new music to listen to.

    Some bands I enjoy:
    Oceano
    Northlane
    Acacia Strain
    Emmure
    etc.

I used to like some, like Amon Amarth, but I'm not really a music guy and kind of grew out of it.

The only band I like out of those are TFK and Motionless In White (but only their first album, before they got all Marilyn Manson-y).

I like screamy metal, not the softer stuff. I like TFK from when I went through a super Christian phase.

I mean the Creatures album @Morgue. I thought that was their first. Every song was very very good on that album.

Screamy metal isn't really metal. It's metalcore maybe. Possibly death metal. But when you talk about just metal you think of Metallica or Iron Maiden. Though I like pretty much anything in the genre. Though nothing but screams like Asking Alexandria is obnoxious. Need to have melody.

I'm not a genre snob and people I talk to will not know what I mean when I say metalcore or deathcore, so I just classify it all as metal. I used to like the mindless screaming, but not I look for more melody, like with Northlane and Volumes.

I love industrial metal a lot, I've been to a lot of metal shows, but nothing comes close to the experiences I've had at industrial shows.

Their first album was so good ahahahahaha. Though the band is shunned, james is a heel-toe god. His technique is flawwwwwwwless

Metal is probably one of the most hate filled generas out there. I always hear people going on and on about "real metal", but as soon as I mention something like queensryche they lock up in confusion it's like people only know the big 4 and then they turn into this metal hipster. James is a damn good drummer.

Metalcore and deathcore is full of the most talented drummers

Saw them at avenged sevenfold. Obnoxious. Of course I'm only talking about the so called singing. Unfortunately I couldn't hear the drumming over it so I couldn't form an opinion. Though I really like drummers.
