Drew some maps and decided to share. If you think they're cellphone quality pictures, you're right! Spines of a book make it heard to use a scanner so I thought that I'd get better angle from a camera. In reality, these are map outlines. What keeps them from being complete maps are the physical characteristics like rivers, lakes, mountains, etc. Still, I'd say these turned out pretty well. Make sure to let me know your thoughts and which you like best.
Not sure if anyone else thought this, but in retrospect that third one sort of looks like a t-rex ghost.
Since number 3 got the most votes here's some update of the outline. Not much I know but I'm still thinking about what to do with the large middle section. Not too mention the name of this thread is outlines not complete maps. And map outlines mostly means land shapes and lakes.
Ooooh, nice work Lunex. Lol, I think the four lakes at the top left of the continent makes it look like a monster face now xP Really though, thanks for sharing.
So 3 years later, I went back to work on this. I had a giant drawing pad, so I could make a full world map instead of single continents that more suited a sketchbook. And I used a bit of all my previous designs to design a world. Like with my earlier designs, they're still rough designs, and I took the picture with a cellphone so the quality isn't the greatest. Probably doesn't help that I used a 4h, so there isn't as much value to my pencil as if I used a no.2 or one of my B's. But phone was my only option since this is 1 foot and half by 2 feet, so my only option to make clearer is to go in with a heavier medium, but since I'm still working, not the time for harder to get rid of pencils or ink. Like before, lot of physical characteristics to think about, and I should probably add in more islands around bigger landmasses, but for a general world make-up, I think this is a good start. Feel free to put out any suggestions though. Edit: Messed with some settings to hopefully make picture more apparent.
