Troxin appeared on a dark map, it seemed the map had switched to night recently. He stood near the chaos gate and looked over the area, there weren't many player characters around and the map was fairly open. He could see an enemy spawn thing not far from where he was and smiled happily. He ran over to the gate as fast as his character would go with an excited grin.

Yuusei started to get up as the sun was already at its peak in the area. He made his way down the mountain and started walking towards the direction of the Chaos Gate thinking maybe he could find another beautiful star scene in The World.

After a flash of smoke before his eyes, Mont found himself under some kind of light, looking as though stars, but they felt distant. Gradually, things became more clear as he realized that he was back inside the directgate's chamber. Slowly getting up, relieved, he looked around until his eyes confirmed Latorn, and he smiled until he thought of under the bridge. He looked to his side to reach for. . . his staff, but the wavemaster struggled for a bit to find it. After a second of it not in his sight, he sighed deeply and closed his eyes to think. It must've still been down there, but it'd be unwise to go back for it just after the accident. If so, he could use the gate or his telepipe to find his way back to it, in it's own convenient sense. Still, he felt uneasy about the time, enough to try to center himself in both worlds, as he did not yet understand. Some time after, whenever he had recovered, Mont looked over to Latorn, and said,"Thank you. I have no idea what had happened, but I could see all of it, from the eyes of my character... What exactly 'did' happen?"

"I dont know that either. All I saw was that you fell down that hole and were not able to move or to communicate." Latorn said pausing for some seconds. "And then there was this...darkness of some sort that was trying to consume you it seemed. And when I poured the holy water on you the darkness disappeared where the water dropped. I guess we're dealing with an unholy force here."

Due to the low level of the area, Troxin was able to beat the enemy fairly easily, and as a result he gained a level. "Yay I won. : )" He stated, jumping up and down to show how happy he was.
After his little celebration he ran off again, looking for any other monster spawn points he could find.

Before managing to reach the Chaos Gate, Yuusei heard a voice that sounded rather happy. He decided to check it out before he left to go forth to another area due to there being more time before that area turned dark. He jumped onto a semi-high point and watched as someone was possibly running towards another monster spawn. He decided to wait and see if the stranger would win the fight or if he would need help with the monsters he might end up bringing forth.

Shivering physically by the thought of unholy forces, in-game and out of it, Mont felt that soon he must advance his class to combat whatever was ahead of them.(in the .hack// games, does one advance when the option is presented, or by some kind of trainer?) Being more than likely that most holy things came from the blessings of Aura, it seemed just as likely that unholy things would relate to her sister, Luna. (omg, I just got a sudeki vibe there. XDDD) It was more troubling to think about, because in some brief mention in a tome, or maybe a book in his real living, talked of powerful crystals and though reluctant, there were dark ways of corrupting them. If the creators of The World were just as in-depth as he'd imagined, then the crystal left in the darkness 'may' soon bend to the will of the darkness, and grant a passage from out of the pit and resurface at some point.

"Hm..." Mont closed his eyes, holding himself in his arms, to go deeper into himself for some kind of answer, as he couldn`t let darkness destroy this place in one way or another. Getting up, he looked over to Latorn, then towards the portal, which should be able to remain safe, in it's light, at least for a time, if it were true in that Luna's essence tries to command the crystal to take it here. He remembered old and new places where wavemasters kept their secrets, and maybe amongst them, the knowledge to confirm if the darkness had such infectious properties. Then walking through the tunnel on his way out, he didn`t even bother to turn out the torches, in fact, he feared the idea of the keep without light now. In any case, any light should hold back it's opposite, even in small measure that was added on with the number of torches, and as he reached the entrance, he sent out his skill, not to turn off, but to alight the rest of the torches throughout, then stood at the illusion of a seal, where from behind it, none could peer through.

Without his staff, the wavemaster's spells were nearly as effective, as he liked to test and train his skill without equipment every now and again, and Mont did put seals about the place. They would have worn, but he placed a time-spell for it to preserve it for longer, and truthfully that would have lasted even shorter of a span, though he set it in the motion and like of a contraption, such as a clock, so that it would power itself like a machine, and might stay for a bit longer. With all in place, he opened and closed the seal behind him and he made way for the capital, where the wavemasters' archives were most collective and complete.

All the while, he'd left little to explain, Mont believed talking would delay true action, and in truth, his search may be vain all the same.

Latorn slowly walked around in the halls as Mont left. What was that darkness down there in the deep? Whatever it was, it now had Latorns interest. Even though he knew perfectly well that going down there was a huge risk he still believed in himself and his skills with which he could probably escape up into the halls he was just standing in. Also the wavemasters staff was still laying down there somewhere. Checking his bag if everything he needed was still in there he sat down on the table. Everything was in place and ready to be used. He took a deep breath and went down into the darkness again.
When he got to the end of the rope he tried to see where the room would end and if he could spot the staff already. After walking around some steps he finally saw it. He carefully walked towords it and picked it up. It was already partly covered in this strange darkness that even the weak light of the staff could not defend. Since this hallway was a dead end only leading into the giant hole Mont fell in he turned around and walked into the other directions leading away from the room where the rope would lead.
Some ended in strange rooms filled with all kinds of magical objects of some sort or weapons forged by a long forgotten civilisation. Only one hallway seemed awefully large and the light of the staff didn't even reach the walls to slightly light them. Latorn after several minutes of walking entered a big hall, even bigger than the dining room one flore above him. As he walked towords the center of the room he felt like the darkness was getting thicker the further he went, almost like it was creeping up his legs trying to consume him. As he slowly got closer he could see the outlines of a figure. It was a statue. The statue of a lady, all covered in deep black shadows. It didnt have the holy feeling to it like the Aura statue did. It was a rather creepy unsetteling feeling that overcame Latorn. "Oukay I've seen enough of this madness" he said when shadows right from the hands of the statue were trying to grab him. He quickly turned away and used his skill. Even though it didnt bring him right into the safe halls above he was just some feet away from the rope leading into the lighted areas. He jumped onto it and pulled himself up.

After spending a bit of time about the tavern, to be certain of where to head to, as things change in this game. He felt uncomfortable being around so many people, but he supposed that he may have active contacts to help him. While one of them happened to be studying for some kind of test, the other seemed to be there, but a tad elusive. It took time to, but he'd found the fellow through watching for his other associates he'd known, and it seemed, as a coincidence to feed his thought, they moved onto becoming partially united in guild factions, some owning great airships. It seemed like a place as good as any to assume they'd keep their tomes inside, and use the immense warships as bases as well, but only when thinking of what he'd do himself. Still, Mont took to the direction of the the air docks, to rent some modest one-seater to gain passageway.

For much of the wavemaster's travels, he managed to gather quite the hoard of money, though he hardly found what to spend it on. Along the roads of Mac Anu, treading beside and along with other players, with a mask on, it made him anxious; the game was real enough for him to almost feel as though they were truly there, with unknown intentions behind their masks. Finally making it to the airdocks, he resolved that he was more ready to purchase a flyer rather than rent one. Mont picked out a type shaped much like a motorcycle, though if he wanted to go about faster, the merchant said that it had the capability of revealing wings with small jet-like additions to boost mobility and speed if the time called for. Not knowing much of airships or cruisers, he bought it, though thankfully it didn`t go on a fuel.

Mont got himself hastily into the cockpit, using small use of flight simulation gameplay and more of tutorials to be able to get it moving. Not too long, and he takes off towards the floating mountains further in the north, not using his wings, deciding they'd best be used if or appropriately when he could get attacked skyborne, as he's heard that players have taken into piracy. The further from Mac Anu, the more likely it'd be have a greater influence of those sorts. Not two roottowns up from the grid of the map that was shown in the corner of the windshield, he did come across other folk. A lone cruiser came about, faster than what he had, came in so fast that Mont assumed at first he meant to attack until it zoomed past him and out of sight. Not too long after though, two slightly larger vessels came in his direction from afar. From his looking glass, they did seem armored, and he assumed they might have been soldier airships. They came about much slower, side by side, in his absolute direction, then all of the sudden it began. Rounds were being shot, terribly slow, but undoubtedly powerful, as the first shook his own vessel.

The wavemaster took to and acutely bound to the side away from them, fiercely allowing himself to descend, possibly look as though he'd been downed. In the endlessness of what could have been pine trees, he advanced slowly just beneath the bristles and branches to escape. Remarkably, they went over him, seemingly without notice, until something from below ticked at him as well. 'No way', he thought, as he found that there were people waiting below, and he sprung up more to weave through the pines. Not long did it take to lose them, though he took some time to do so, before he could go back towards his mission. By new day(the night was alight by the stars, moon and as he went further north, the fires of the sky), Mont found a decent mountain, partially covered in the same high trees, which by luck, he spotted what must've been the war galley his source had told him of.

Soon he approached landing, thinking of what to say to the mages that resided, when it seemed that the mountain was a popular place to them as well. It struck him that they had built a hangar on the side of the mountain that it may have been that they had stumbled upon the entrance of the mountain, holding to it for unknown reasons. Bringing his flyer to a halt not far from the large skyship, he dismounted to meet them. 'Hopefully they remember me...' he thought; the wavemasters he knew from then didn`t take kindly to intruders.

Latorn walked around in the hall. He didn't quite know what to do now that Mont was on his own special mission. He then decided to go outside again and walk over the rooftops like he did before. When he passed by the holy statue he dropped on his knees making a prayer to Aura. As he got up again he remembered that he still had Monts staff. He placed it into the hands of the statue knowing that Mont would have to walk through this room and see it. He then vanished into fog and walked through Mac Anu rethinking everything that he had seen down there.

Not long after his arrival, Mont was met with guards, as they escorted him inside, not seeing him as a threat, but evidently not as an ally either. The two were lancers, and they must've held some agility and strength beneath their forms, leading onward silently. Whenever they found the entrance of the vessel, they confronted others like themselves, exchanging looks and nodding, before continuing. towards the telepad that connect the levels inside the place. With worry of his new purchase aside, it was more a thrill to be on this trip, maybe until he entered the heart of the base, where there were a shockingly large amount of players in uniform. "What is this place...?" he doubtedly gasped, listening for an answer. His wait for an answer came short by bumping into someone abruptly, and Mont straightened himself out.

The tall one in front of him was one of the rare beast race, and seemed like he had some higher authority with his crimson armor amongst greens, but the one behind him was the one that captivated him; another that was noticably wavemaster. Before that, he confronted the beast first, with a greeting, and apology for hazardously walking,"Hey, what's your name? What is this place exactly?" he started gently, but restrained. The large fellow just moved aside and like a gent bowed his sincerest, supposing it's some kind of rule that only the captain spoke. Thinking back on it now, not many did, and inside, nobody had, which crept him out further.

The mage spoke up first, with a shushing open-palm out,"Hello, and what brings somebody like you down here on my little. . spot, down deep within these woods?" and when he opened his eyes onto what could have been called glittery, bright eyes, letting himself be mistrustful of this person, but he couldn`t think of what properly to say, as its more convenient that way with the keyboard, which he excelled in, with communication than by more natural means.

Latorn walked through the city, pretty much without any clue where he was going. As he walked by the bridge again he saw that, even though quite some time has passed this grey haired player was still standing there. It seemed pretty clear for Latorn that he was AFK. He was about to just walk past him when he suddenly remembered that this was not any other MMO, this was [The World] and pretty much everything was possible here. He made sure the other player was really AFK and then grabbed him and disappeared. They both appeared on the rooftops. Latorn dragged the other guy till the end of a roof and placed him really close to the edge. He then placed a small note into his inventory saying "Just logg off next time. You never know what happens!" and then left him standing there alone. Latorn smiled as he used his skill again and was gone.
Next he went to the Chaos Gate. He didnt want to go anywhere to train though. He had his own special place well hidden from all the other players. He inserted the keywords for a low level area. As the golden rings and blue orbs around him started to float up he felt himself getting away from all the evils of this underground dungeon. When he opened his eyes again he saw the big area with some mountains, trees and a starry sky. As he walked around he saw a shadowy figure standing near a torch that was supposed to buff the character.

-Player Logged in- "Its been a little bit, lets go practice a bit!" Tryndivar said after not playing the game for two days. Tryndivar walked over to the chaos gate and went to a rather low level field to try out his skills once again. When he arrived it was nightfall in the fields. "Well it'll be harder to see the enemies, but that won't be a problem..." Tryndivar whispered to himself. Far off Tryndivar could hear yelling, when he faced the direction he could see a blade master toying with a wave master. Tryndivar pulled out his large rifle and aimed. "Oh? What do we have here..." Tryndar said talking to himself. The blade master had decided he had enough fun, and was going to finish off the wave master newbie. Tryndivar used survey shot, with an armor piercing round, and aimed for the blade master's heart. The blade master raised his blade, and -CRACK- he fell over dead dropping his blade next to the wave master. "PK'ed again, *sigh*will they ever learn?". The wave master quickly scrambled to the chaos gate, and left. "If PK'ers are attacking these low-levels like this, I'm going to be busy for awhile..." Tryndivar said before walking off to find more "targets."

Trembling slightly, Mont felt he shouldn`t be afraid, and smiled saying,"I`m Mont, but I`ve come to find a wavemaster community. Have you seen it?" and hoped for the best. For a split second, the wavemaster's face distorted, he blinked, and he saw still the smiling look of the captain. The avatar was shorter than his, but it still emitted a kind of authority, as he walked over to Mont from across the room. "What need have you, of the wavemasters?"he said softly, but some part of Mont wanted to run immediately. "I-I need to look amongst their tomes, why?" he said, trying to keep calm, thus closing his eyes again, one hand subconsciously gripping empty space, expecting a staff between.

"Well, its just been that, nobody has seen or heard from them in quite some time. I have no doubts the tomes are still there, but my men and I are the recovery team of such." the captain explained, holding out his hand, "Oh, and my name is Faso_Nallery." Shaking the player's hand, Mont felt more comfortable, though something odd, so he looked about. "Hey sir, can I check the books you've gotten so far?" the player said, probing for answers. "Why sure, but what is it you're looking for?" the wavemaster looked back, smiling, yet wary, until hearing that Mont wished to read some of the books of shadows, of Luna, and it's like. Soon after, it was as though the room grew still, and the captain's face reflected it's silence. "You shouldn`t delve into such things, as they've hurt and shall, someday. I wa-" he started, and it was as though the whole vessel was undergoing an earthquake. Things began to get loud, and people stumbled and fell, especially those trying to move. A few minutes, and things grew quiet again.

Darting eyes between some crew mates, Faso was prepping the online system, confusing the guest to standing somewhere. "I`m sorry, Mont, but we have to take off soon. You have my permission to see the tomes we have so far, but as for the rest, you will have to go in alone about that." he said, manning the ship, and glancing back at the wavemaster. "Oh, and your vessel is on here, so wait until we land for you to start. My men will mark down the lost library on your map. Make yourself at home."

*Sigh* "Finally, it took them awhile to realize to not come here..." Tryndivar muttered unto himself. After killing another four players within the last couple of hours, they seemed to not bother coming back for some revenge on who killed them. He was walking within some ruins of the area following the path until he came to the main treasure room, which had a chest in the middle unopened. "HEY, YOU!" Tryndivar quickly spun around to see the blade master he killed when joining the land. He was only level 23, an easy fight really, but he didn't return without friends. "Your the one that killed me earlier aren't you!? You must think your some kind of hero for saving that pipsqueak wavemaster huh?" the blademaster spoke. The other players he brought with him were another blademaster that was level 22, and a lancer that was level 28. -I don't like these odds...- Tryndivar thought knowing he didn't have a good chance fighting all three at once like this. "Well what do you have to say for yourself? If you want to be a hero, we'll be sure to give you a hero's death!" Knowing he couldn't beat them all at once, Tryndivar devised a plan. "Your wrong, you know? I wasn't intending on being a hero, and YOU knew what you were doing, so you should accept your punishment." Tryndivar replied to the blademaster. "Why you! Well you know what? I think it's about time we kill you!" the blademaster said while now charging Tryndivar. Tryndivar swiftly rolled right, out of the charger's way. "Well then I got a gift for you guys!" Tryndivar said, while pulling out two cylinders. "Here catch!" Tryndivar said while tossing them towards the group. -FLASH- "Gah! flashbangs! guys get them!" the blademaster yelled. "We can't see either!" Taking this as his chance Tryndivar started running from the players towards the exit to the chaos gate to safety. -I've seemed to have lost them, gotta get around this bend then I'm almost out of here!- Tryndivar thought. When he rounded the corner he could see a beserker mid swing, but he was using the rounded edge. The axe struck home, and hit Tryndivar right in the gut, almost knocking him out. On the ground unable to move, Tryndivar heard, "Tsk tsk tsk, you thought you could escape neh? Well we got a surprise for you..." The blademaster walked over, and kicked Tryndivar in the head. At that moment, Tryndivar's screen went black, and he was unable to move...

Yuusei viewed the player for a while before realizing he was afk. He started to hear someone causing a stir and decided to check it out. As he went to the location he made sure to stay up on high ground to avoid running into anything. As he finally reached his destination he sat down viewing the scene of a blade-master and steam-gunner. He pondered what exactly what was going on until he realized his shadow seemed to move over them. Thinking of the possibility of being spotted he just sat there waiting to see what events would transpire.

"Alright boys, we got him tied and bound, he'll be out for about another minute what should we do with him?" the blademaster said. "How about we truly teach him a lesson? After we loot him, we'll lock him up making his character unusable, but if he escapes we can still place a bounty, THEN lock him up." the lancer said. "Good idea, i was thinking of hacking his account to delete it, but if we lock him up he should feel as though he was defeated, and will be forced to quit himself. Say, he seems to have been out for awhile..." the blademaster agreed. -While they still believe I am asleep I might be able to break free!- Tryndivar devised. "Ok let's wake him up, and take him to our 'friend' guys." the blademaster said. The second blademaster tried a cure-all, but noticed it wasn't working, then out of rage he kicked Tryndivar in an effort to wake him up. "Ack, watch where your kicking! Oh, and just you watch, I can escape any 'jail' you have planned." Tryndivar said. "Whatever you won't be able to escape where our friend will send you! Also we can't have you know where we are taking you so your eyes will be covered." the blademaster snickered. They then placed a cloth hood over Tryndivar's head. Then the berserker picked up Tryndivar, and warped through the chaos gate. -I hear bustling, and talking... We could have returned to Mac Anu, or some other town...- Tryndivar thought. After a lengthy period of time we had entered a building. "YO! Tobias! We got a favor to ask you!" The blademaster cried. "Yeah, yeah, what is it? This place is supposed to be secret ya'know?" Tobias said. "We want the loot from this guy without him being killed." the blademaster said. Tryndivar was thrown from the berserker's shoulder to the ground at that moment. "Is that all?" Tobias said, while rolling his eyes. "No we also want him teleported to somewhere he'll never escape, so his account will be useless." the blade master said. "Ok I will spawn a chest with his loot, but i can't take equipped items. After that theres an old map the developers closed off, and isn't accessible otherwise." Tobias bartered. -What? an abandoned map? I was expecting some jail cell!- Tryndivar thought, now alarmed. "Sounds good, the usual fee?" the blademaster asked. "It's a done deal. Just one moment... There!" Tobias said. A chest spawned in with all of Tryndivar's belongings, and soon after the gunner was teleported away... Tryndivar opened his eyes, and he could see, it was a dark, damp hall with unlit torches lining the wall. Tryndivar now moved his hands to see if they were bound, they weren't. "They must have not come with in the teleport. I got to explore to see where I am..." Tryndivar said to himself. He quickly checked his inventory, nothing, all he had were his gun, his armor and his abilities. -This is where the flare ability is useful- he thought. Tryndivar then light a flare, which casted a red light over the surroundings. He then explored the halls and rooms without finding any exits. When moving through, he found a rather large room with a light shining in from above. The light was pouring through a grate, down into a rather large hole. -Wait... A grate? Like some form of sewers? But there's no way to reach it... There has to be a way out through that grate though!- Tryndivar thought to himself. He then started pacing around thinking, and looking for something to reach the grate of escape. When looking around the room he saw a rather tall statue of a beautiful woman, and placed in her hands was a staff. The statue was very eroded, but its beauty still shined brightly -Who could she be, and why is there a staff in its hands? Well I can't us a staff, so no need for it...- Tryndivar thought, trying to puzzle things together. Suddenly some footsteps, and growls were heard coming from the hole in the room. Tryndivar slowly walked over and looked over the edge, and saw nothing. "If there's monsters maybe they could drop something to help me escape..." Tryndivar reasoned. He looked for a way down and saw a rope that seemed strong enough to hold him. He popped a flare, and dropped it down the hole. Down he went to the end of the rope. It was a good bit away from the ground, but survivable. Down he dropped into the dark, that seemed to engulf the light all around him...

Yuusei watched the chain of events unfold. He then decided to go look upon this character who just entered the area. Whom appeared to be a twin blade. He looked over him and wondered whether or not the person was afk.
