So over the past few months I've begun to get into flameworking, and glass art in general.
Im a novice at the moment and I need to get my own torch/kiln etc but until then my friend shares hit setup.
Does anyone have any experience on the torch? Favorite glass artist?

I can't say I know much about glass blowing, but it is a very dangerous art style. I remember in my art app. class seeing a famous glassblower who had at best injured his eye and at worst lost it.

It can be dangerous, but as long as you setup your system properly, and take the necessary precautions you should be good.

My eye sight is already bad enough without adding glass working into the mix, I have met a few people who have gone nearly blind bending glass for neon signs. Although, it could have been something to do with the neon, I don't know the process to well.

Is there anything you are interested in making.

The basics are always a good start jumping into something, and believing you will do perfect right off the bat is foolish (something I sometimes fail to remember). XD

May or may not be appropriate for these forums, but I'm quite interested in glass-blowing due to my much larger interest in smoking paraphernalia. It is indeed a very dangerous art style, but do log your journey here. I'm intrigued. ^-^
