        It is possible but highly unlikely. Our population is growing at a rate where it will soon no longer be able to support that many people in the world, so I doubt we would want medicine like that anyway.

        I don´t deny that, though it still is a theoretical possibility, especially if you consider a society without birth. and also, keeping some one living thing alive disproves the statement so all it takes is a very infuential person and BIG advancements in medicine/tech. though like you said, probs not gonna happen.
